Low Cost Aviation Shelter

July 28, 2010

The demand for hangars is far greater than the supply. ShelterLogic is now offering a low cost solution for airplane hangar and storage called LCAS (Low Cost Aircraft Shelter). LCAS are engineered steel truss buildings using Ultra Duty PVC fabric covering as a low cost alternative to traditional metal hangars. These buildings are low in price, expandable, portable and require minimal foundation requirements.

The 2010 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, Wisconsin will be host to several workshops on homebuilt airplanes to fabric structures. ShelterLogic will be represented by Edward McKenney in a workshop on 7/31/2010 - 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM titled Low Cost Hangar Solutions and Alternatives where he will be presenting LCAS for General Aviation aircraft. He will be providing several examples of the fabric hangars in various phases of construction through completion.

ShelterLogic Donates Canopies to Surfers for Autism

April 20, 2010

ShelterLogic recently supported a worthy cause by donating a Celebration II Canopy to Surfers for Autism (SFA).

The Celebration II Canopy was used during SFA’s third annual fundraiser in Deerfield Beach, Fla. that was filmed by NBC Nightly News. The canopy is quickly and easily set up with built in, slip-together swedged tubing and a double stitched waterproof cover. It is durable and UV treated to withstand the weather.

According to it's web site, Surfers for Autism(SFA) is a “not-for-profit organization designed to support the efforts of a collaboration of surfers, volunteers and sponsors dedicated to bringing the sport of surfing to families and children affected by autism.” SFA mission “is to unlock the potential of people with developmental disabilities, support advocacy for autism issues and scientific research focusing to eliminate stigma through public awareness and education and to unite communities through volunteerism” (www.surfersforautism.org).

"These canopies made an outstanding operations center on the beach for our event. They are extremely sturdy even in high wind, and we are extremely grateful for the generosity of ShelterLogic," said Don C. Ryan, president of SFA.
