Shed-in-a-Box® 12 x 12 x 8 ft. is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 59.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap and durable I bought this living in the Pacific Northwest to keep rain off my motorcycle and have used it for normal storage since. Great size for a medium displacement bike (500-999cc), enough space to do basic maintenance. After four years barely any rust and no fading. More than worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the trick Bought this to house my lawn tractor and jetski. Survived the first windstorm with 40 mph gusts no problem. Setup takes a little long but likely is worth the effort. Good product for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One tough shelter I bought this to replace one I had for 4 or 5 yrs and lost in hurricane IRMA The original cover on it was wearing thin so I replace the cover about three months ago. That shed was dancing and rippling all over the place when IRMA hit. I think it would have survived the hurricane if I had closed the front but when the wind came around from the north directly into the opening it blew up like a parachute and ripped the anchors right out of the ground. It came down in a field a block away damaging the frame in the crash landing but the cover and structure held up to 125 mph wind until the anchors let go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protection against the weather I recently needed to replace my previous 10x10 shed in a box (had to been around 10yrs old) due to Hurricane Irma, had it not been for the large Carrotwood tree falling on my shed it would have survived. Only the frame was damaged, the cover stayed intact mostly and kept everything inside dry through the rest of the storm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Durable I bought this as a temporary shelter. That was 8 years ago. It has lasted many severe storms, including Hurricane Sandy. Only now did I have to order a replacement cover. everything else is still like new. Most impressive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shed in a box Instructions were a little confusing, but after some trial and error my wife and I completed the task. The job would have been easier with the help of a couple of extra helpers and watched the video. So far it has survived a couple of 40-45 mph wind gusts. The instructions do not take away from the satisfaction with the product after its erected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty replacement cover -GRRRReat! This is in MN. 2 weeks after installing a replacement heavy duty cover , a 60-80 mph windstorm knocked over a willow tree directly on the fabric shed. When the neighbors called I expected the worst. The cover did not rip and the frame work maintained is shape. The tractor was driven out and used to lift the tree off the shed after some initial trimming to eliminate some of the weight of branches and trunk. I again stretched the cover and checked the anchors on the frame work. What a product! I was told the heavy duty cover would stretch and be much stronger. It certainly is. I expect no problems from the snow load in the winters to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weather and wind proof This is second item purchased-live in mountains-shed held up under 4' of snow and 40-50mph winds . What more needs to be said. Takes about 3 hrs to assemble with two people.

Q&A

Does the 12x12 have a removable rear panel or door? I need a pass through at all times

Asked by: Shaunsteel
Hello, This shed has a zippered panel in the front and a solid back panel. It looks like we do have additional doors for purchase at this time if you are interested in purchasing an extra door. Please give us a call at 1800-932-9344. Thank you

Can you start a tractor inside the shed?

Asked by: ellie
Hi Ellie, This shed would work great for storing a tractor. The door opening is 4'9" wide x 5'10" tall. Please measure your tractor to ensure it will fit through the door opening. Thank you

I bought a 6x6x6 and the front panel doesn't zip all the way down. The side panel's strap is visible and it's ratchet is in front of the zipper. Do the panels need to be all the way to the ground so the straps are horizontal and not angled? Closeup pic?

Asked by: Heidi1968
Maybe it's a matter of having the left and right panels attached to the holes closer to the interior and the front panel attached to the holes closer to the exterior (opposite of the instructions. Hard to tell on the 8x8 since it doesn't show both connections in the same pic.

Should this shed have come with nuts and bolts? Is it suppose to be pressure fit? It literally falls down with any kind of movement!

Asked by: Lonabarnum1
Hello, This shed should be a pressure fit with the exception of a few included nuts and bolts. There should not be a lot of movement. We would be happy to look into this with you further and help troubleshoot the issue. Please call us at 1800-932-9344. Thank you

What is the enclosure material? Is it similar to a common tarp? I'm wondering if it will rustle around loudly in the wind like a tarp does.

Asked by: structuralscott
Hello, The cover on this shed is our standard 7.5 oz triple layer, UV treated, polyethylene. It should be installed taught to the frame so it does not rustle around in the wind like a tarp would. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. Thank you

I'm looking for a 6' wide 8' long shelter to fit into a space. Height is not so imporant. I like the round style any suggestions

Asked by: stwhitt
Hello, The smallest round option we have would be 8x8x8. The smallest option we have in general would be a peak style shed, that is 6x6x6 but unfortunately we do not have anything 6' wide x 8' long. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. Thank you

Does model 70413 come with anchors or do they need to be purchased separately

Asked by: Bumpa
Hello, Model 70413 will come with four 15" auger anchors. We recommend purchasing 30" anchors and anchoring every leg of the shelter down. With this shed you would need two extra packs of anchors. Thank you
