Starting off square and level is essential to a successful shed assembly and we recommend that you consider a base kit to self-square the shed and help level the site. Base kits are available for the majority of Arrow sheds. The base kit must be assembled with your selected floor finishing option before you start to build your shed. Use the flooring material that best suits your needs, such as wood, patio blocks, or gravel. The base kit may also be used as a form for pouring concrete. Find the base kit size for your shed.

Questions & Answers
Will this base kit work with your Commander series sheds with swinging doors?
Hi Jim, This base kit is not compatible with our Commander series. We suggest pouring a concrete slab for that model. If you have any additional questions please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-851-1085 (press 1).

I see that this is no to be used elevated from the ground, but sitting on the ground. How long is this going to last sitting on the ground? What is the warranty on the base?
This is copied straight from the base kit instruction guide . . . IMPORTANT NOTE: If leveling blocks are required due to uneven ground conditions, the base kit must be completely supported along outside perimeter, because the kit is not self supporting. . . My understanding is, that it can be done, but leveling blocks should be laid end-to-end along the whole perimeter.

Just finished construction of the 10 x 14 shed. I want to add more strength and rigidity. We are planning to relocate the finished shed within our backyard. Could we build the base kit, lower the completed building onto the base, and connect the two??
Hello, Yes you could place the shed directly onto the base kit and anchor it. Thank you

After anchoring the shed to the base kit and then fill it in with concrete, would that be an adequate anchoring on the ground or should I think of something else? What is the height of the base kit, is it 5cm?
Hello, We would suggest filling the Base Kit with concrete and letting it harden. Then you will assemble the shed and anchor the unit using concrete anchors. The Base Kit is 2" high. Hope that helps!

If a base kit is used on existing concrete patio, how is the shed anchored to the concrete? Thanks.
Hello, The shed will have to be anchored to the base kit and then the anchoring of the base kit will be the responsibility of the consumer. If you would like to discuss in more detail feel free to give us a call at 1-800-851-1085 (press 1). Thank you

I will install model VD86 on existing concrete patio. I want air space between concrete base and wood floor, but want walls to rest on concrete to minimize exterior height. Would I need base kit, frame kit or both? Thanks.
Hello, No, that will not be necessary. Either can be used to provide that space between the plywood and the concrete pad. Hope that helps!
