Arrow Storage Products Frequently Asked Questions
Assembly questions
Where do I find my shed’s model number?
The model number is on the product label, on a gable section, inside the shed.
Where is my instruction manual?
The instruction manual is inside the hardware bag. If you have a multiple carton unit, locate the carton with the hardware bag first.
My shed was delivered, and parts are missing.
Since our parts nest together sometimes two panels look like one. Double check that you have separated all of the parts. Check the shed panels for any additional parts. If parts are missing, please contact Arrow Customer Service at 1-800-851-1085or e-mail assist@arrowsheds.com.
When do I install the base kit?
The base kit must be assembled with your selected floor finishing option before you start to build your storage building. You will need to assemble the Floor Channels of the storage building, before installing the decking material.
Do I need a shed base kit?
If you are installing your shed on a patio, wood, or similar hard surface, then you do not need a base kit.
Do I need a base kit and a floor kit? What is the difference?
A base kit provides a solid foundation for you to install your shed if you do not have a concrete pad or wooden platform. You do not need a floor kit if you are installing a base kit. The base kit will provide structure for you to install flooring material.
A floor kit allows you to install flooring material in your shed. Arrow Sheds do not come with a floor, so customers will install a floor kit if they are installing their shed on a surface that would not make a suitable floor. A floor kit is not required if building on a concrete pad or wooden platform but is sometimes preferred.
What anchors do I need?
The anchor you need depends on the surface you are installing your shed. Arrow offers different ground and concrete anchors to complete your installation. If you have questions about the anchor that is right for you, please contact customer service at 1-800-851-1085or e-mail assist@arrowsheds.com.
What accessory options are available?
Arrow has several options to help you organize the inside of your shed. We offer a tool hook to hang rakes, shovels, brooms, sheers, and gardening tools. We also offer shelving options for the smaller items you need to keep organized and off the floor. We have two and three tier options that can be added to most of our sheds. If you have questions about which accessories will work for your unit, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-851-1085or e-mail assist@arrowsheds.com.
The holes in the panels are not aligned with the holes in the floor frame. What should I do?
Check the floor frame size. Check the unit for squareness. Make sure the shed is on a level base. Be sure the corner panels are installed with the widest side of the panel to the side of the building. Line up large holes in the panel with small holes in floor frame.
The floor frame does not align with the base kit.
Foundation channel pieces need to be made the correct size. Check to see if the floor frame of shed has the correct dimensions. The cross channel inside the base kit needs to be spaced apart at the proper dimension. Make sure the base kit was made for your specific shed.
What if the holes do not align?
When assembling the shed, use an awl to help align the holes. Check the unit for squareness. Make sure the shed is on a level base.
My shed looks crooked.
After each step, square the building to keep it from becoming crooked.
What do I do with the green plastic trim on the gables?
The green plastic trim can be removed after the shed has been assembled. It is there to protect your hands from any cuts.
The holes in the roof panels do not line up with the holes in the roof beam and side wall angles.
The building is square at the bottom but not at the top. If the building is out of square, rack and push the shed until it falls back in square. Also, loosen the roof panels to give it more play and flexibility. Do not attach the bottom of roof panels to side wall angles until all the roof panels are up. It is also important to check that the shed is on a level base. Be sure that all panels are installed in the proper location. Do not anchor the shed until it is completely assembled.
My sliding doors do not hang level.
The door track needs to be installed with long leg on top and short on bottom.
Door slides should be straddling the upper and lower legs of door track assembly by putting door slide only halfway in track. The rounded end of door slide is at the bottom and square end at the top with the pins or knobs next to each other.
The rear wall angle and channels are too large to fit inside of the rear wall panels.
Check the dimensions of assemblies. They should be slightly smaller than the floor frames.
Lay the assemblies on top of rear floor frame and pull it up to the top of the wall panels, causing the corner panels to stand erect and not lean inward.
The main roof beam is missing.
Four assemblies are to be made up of 1 right and 1 left roof beam. Two assemblies are to be put back-to-back to make up the main roof beam. A single assembly is to be installed on each side of the roof.
The wide rib always overlaps the crimped rib.
This sequence is to be followed through the process of construction. However, at one point there will be either 2 crimped ribs overlapping or 2 wide ribs overlapping. This may give it a tighter fit, but it will work.
When should I anchor my shed?
Do not anchor the shed until the unit has been completely assembled, and it is completely squared. A completed shed MUST be properly anchored to avoid damages.
How do I temporarily anchor my building before it's fully assembled?
An incomplete building must be anchored before breaking for any period of time to prevent possible damage.
If the building is on a wood base, secure the frame with wood screws in the corners.
If the building is on a concrete base, temporarily anchor the frame in the corners.
Use patio blocks or sandbags on top of the floor frame as weights.
Secure the floor frame to the ground with ground augers or rope the frame in the corners to the ground.

Care & Maintenance questions
The roof is leaking.
Make sure all washers and weather stripping have been used. Make sure the washers are flush with the panels. Do not over tighten screws: this can crack the washers.
Check if weather stripping tape is adhering to panels. When installing, do not stretch the weather stripping. Apply the weather stripping directly off the roll and on to clean panels.
Regularly check your building for loose screws, bolts, nuts, etc. and retighten when necessary.Â
Silicone caulking may be used for watertight seals throughout the building.
