Product Overview
Starting off square and level is essential to a successful shed assembly and we recommend that you consider a base kit to self-square the shed and help level the site. Base kits are available for the majority of Arrow sheds. The base kit must be assembled with your selected floor finishing option before you start to build your shed. Use the flooring material that best suits your needs, such as wood, patio blocks, or gravel. The base kit may also be used as a form for pouring concrete. Find the base kit size for your shed.
  • The Arrow base kit is made of durable hot-dipped electro-galvanized steel
  • Keeps building and stored items off the ground
  • Easy to install
  • Includes all hardware
  • Does not include floor all finishing materials (If finishing with wood flooring, use exterior-grade plywood, measured to base kit dimensions.)

What is the load rating for the FDN109 as opposed to the FB109-A with 5/8" plywood? How about with 3/4" plywood? Thanks!

Asked by: T G
Hello, Both can hold between 200 and 300 pounds distributed through the floor.

Just finished construction of the 10 x 14 shed. I want to add more strength and rigidity. We are planning to relocate the finished shed within our backyard. Could we build the base kit, lower the completed building onto the base, and connect the two??

Asked by: Lando
Hello, Yes you could place the shed directly onto the base kit and anchor it. Thank you

After anchoring the shed to the base kit and then fill it in with concrete, would that be an adequate anchoring on the ground or should I think of something else? What is the height of the base kit, is it 5cm?

Asked by: Smaragda
Hello, We would suggest filling the Base Kit with concrete and letting it harden. Then you will assemble the shed and anchor the unit using concrete anchors. The Base Kit is 2" high. Hope that helps!

If a base kit is used on existing concrete patio, how is the shed anchored to the concrete? Thanks.

Asked by: HHD
Hello, The shed will have to be anchored to the base kit and then the anchoring of the base kit will be the responsibility of the consumer. If you would like to discuss in more detail feel free to give us a call at 1-800-851-1085 (press 1). Thank you

I will install model VD86 on existing concrete patio. I want air space between concrete base and wood floor, but want walls to rest on concrete to minimize exterior height. Would I need base kit, frame kit or both? Thanks.

Asked by: HHD
Hello, No, that will not be necessary. Either can be used to provide that space between the plywood and the concrete pad. Hope that helps!

So i build the base kit and then put plywood on top of it and then start the shed on top of the plywood? this would leave some wood exposed. or do i build the base, then just build the shed right on top of the base kit and then add plywood to the INSIDE?

Asked by: Jarhead
Hello, Both methods are acceptable. If you cut the plywood to the size of the base you should not have any exposed plywood. The shed should sit flush on the Base Frame. If you would like to discuss in more detail feel free to call us at 1-800-851-1085 (press 1). Thank you
