Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great in Rocky or regular soil. I have used these for a few years now. They hold the tension especially in spring when the ground thaws and soil is very wet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have if there is a rock in your yard! These are amazing - easy to use, a must-have if you are anchoring a shelter anywhere other than soft loam. We live on one of the Rocky Mountains (Colorado) and the auger type anchors were never going to work. These took some effort to get in (and at least a 3lb hammer) but perform wonderfully. Well engineered and worth the cost! Silly to put a plastic cap on the driving rod, breaks with the first hammer swing, otherwise solid product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - easy to install Was looking for a solution to fasten a plastic 8x10 storage shed to the ground. This did the trick! Easy to install. Once these anchors are in the ground, you cannot easily get them out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME PRODUCT Skeptical about the anchors when I ordered them, because the ground is full of so many rocks. These anchors went in without a issue. Just make sure to insert the same end in to the anchor every time and not the flared end that was hammered on. If they work in my yard they should work any where.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Driving rod is a problem The driving rod got stuck in the first anchor. I was able to pull the anchor out of the ground and remove the rod from the anchor. I purchased a two foot piece of 1/2" rebar which worked perfectly. The original driving rod is too thick I believe. Once all anchors were in the ground, they worked great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy hook anchors The anchors worked great, my area in Wisconsin has clay and rock, of the four anchors two went full depth without an issue, it had rained the night before so the ground was soft. The third anchor went in about 3/4 of the cable before hitting a fairly solid stone and the driving rod bent to about a 15 degree angle so I could go no deeper. I bent the drive rod straight for the fourth anchor and hit another rock, the 1/2" round drive rod bent into an S shape, I got about 1/3rd the cable depth. My suggestion is a hardened 5/8" drive rod shanked down to 1/2" to fit the anchors. Great idea though, I would buy them again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Anchors the driving rod was not in the box when I got it. Had to improvise. Made job much more difficult.

For installing in asphalt it's recommended to drill a hole first. What size hole is needed to be drilled in the asphalt before you using the driving rod and hammer/mallet to install the hook?

Asked by: mkelly
Hello, The anchor “hook” is 1.75” at the widest point, so I would say a Ø1.75” hole should work. Thank you

How do you get these to go into the ground?

Asked by: ScottM
Hello, The Easy Hook Anchors you would use the steel driving rod and a sledge hammer to drive each anchor into the ground. The cable exposed above the surface use the loop in the cable to set the anchor. If you would like to discuss this further please give us a call at 1-800-560-8383. Thank you

I have a 10x36 building going up. How many anchors do you recommend?

Asked by: Sean
Hi Sean, We recommend anchoring every rib of the shelter down. If your shelter is 36' long, you should have 9 ribs on each side so we would recommend purchasing at least 18 anchors. If you have any additional questions, please give us a call at 1800-932-9344. Thank you

What is the tensile force these anchors can support when installed to full depth?

Asked by: Sebastian
Hello, Unfortunately we do not have this information as there are too many variables that could affect the tensile force most importantly what type of ground they are being used in. Thank you
