Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great substitute for a garage bay We were pleased with our shelter tube we bought. It is very roomy and water tight. My husband installed it with help from 3 friends. We only needed assistance to 1 hour or so and the rest he was able to do alone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfectly made We were very happy with the materials and directions provided. It took a full day to install ( two people) and everything was exactly as advertised. We already want to order a second one!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built... I bought mine two years ago 25x12x11 14.5 ounce material. Set it up by myself no issues but I do own a tractor that helped -alot! This yr I added storage by using 2 x 6 x 12 PT across the last three supports and put a deck on them. I also used PT decking around the outside of the posts and boxed in the whole building making it even sturdier and keeping rodents out. I used 2x6x12 also across the rear door to make it far less likely for a breakin the front is visible to me. I added two tire racks on the back wall for my winter-summer tires. I also added LED lighting inside and a security camera. Snow just rolls off.......not even a slight concern. Wind no problems at all especially with the rear being tied together and the boxed in bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice / easy to build It took a bit to come in. The guy that delivered it could not even get it off the truck it was so heavy. We had to take apart and take off piece by piece. Directions easy to read. Easy to build my 10 year old and I built it in a half a day. Needed my wife for pulling tarp over. They kept tension on it while I used a ladder to help it along. The straps make it a breeze! Seems to hold down good. Looks very nice! We will see how it holds up this winter. My neighbor has one and said that as long as you keep the snow off it when it’s heavy. You will be all set I got the mid-grade heavier duty tarp also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super strong garage for CT winters! I bought this garage to store a classic car and some equipment. It needed to be strong enough to take a CT winter storm... no problem there. It's been up for 3 years and so far it's taken anything nature throws at it. Great product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I bought this July 2019. Only problem is the rivits for doors are cheap built and pullies are plastic and nylon rope didn't work. Instructions were poor. I wish I knew anchors came with kit bc I bought some extra that I didn't need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 30’ sheltertube Overall really good quality. A few things would improve my rating to five stars. 1) the door kit requires you cut a hole in the tarp. As my sheltertube came with two rollup door kits (not an option), I felt the holes should be pre cut with some kind of metal ring so as to not tear. I would have liked the option to only get one door kit and save a few dollars as well. 2) vents, my sheltertube gets humid (to the point it drips) and would really benefit from vents of some type. I had to hang a box fan on a timer to circulate air to reduce moisture. 3) shipping company was difficult to work with to schedule a drop off. It was so bad that I had to take a full day off work. They provided an 8 hour window and it came right in the middle of it. Install took way longer than expected. Most of it is not difficult and can be done with basic tools. I would recommend having 4 people around to help attach the legs to the roof frame. I bought the 30’ version for reference so maybe the 20’ length would be easier with 3 people, but I had 3 helping and had to track down a 4th. The rest can easily be done solo or with one other person to help. I probably had a full 8-10 hours into the install. If I had to do it again I could probably get it down to an 7 or 8 hours just with what I know now and I would bring my impact driver next time instead of using a ratchet set. I would also wait to tighten everything down until you’re ready to pull the cover over the top. I used tie downs instead of rope for that step (it’s what I had around) and it worked well. You will want to make sure you have 40-50’ of para cord or rope handy. By the time I got to that step it was after business hours and if I didn’t have tie downs in my truck, I would have had to wait a day to finish and drive 1.5 hrs round trip back to my boat storage. Being able order one in increments less than 5’ would be nice too. I needed a 27-28’ structure but they only offer 5’ extensions past 20’. Some of their other products come in 28’ sizes but do not have enough height or width at the entrance to fit a boat or RV.

Questions & Answers

I live in South Dakota do you know if I need a building permit to put one in. I would be looking at a 12x30

Asked by: mjk
To obtain this information you must visit your Town Hall and request a copy of their guidelines. Every county across the nation has different regulations and due to this variance we do not have this information. For the most part permits are not required because these shelters are considered temporary structures but it is best practice to check in with your town. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to call us at 1-800-932-9344.

Do I have to install both end panels? I would like to just have the back end panel installed and nothing on the front, as I plan to leave it open always a ways, and I could use the extra width and peak height for parking.

Asked by: Yeti
Hello, No, you do not have to install both panels. You may leave the front open to maximize the entirety of the opening.

If I order a structure with the standard (9mil) cover, and determine it too thin; can I exchange it for a heavier duty option? Also, are there clear/opaque options within the heavier duty offerings?

Asked by: Baltimore
