SOJAG Frequently Asked Questions
Product questions:
Why do I need a winter support post?
A winter support post adds reinforcement to your shelter for the winter season. This extendable post can be positioned against the roof connector and help support your structure during the cold season. Even with the winter support post, you still need to remove accumulated snow from the roof of your shed using a long handled, soft bristled broom.
How do I measure my yard for a gazebo?
You will need at least 2-4 extra feet around your future foundation’s perimeter for a safe and easier assembly. For example, if your Sojag gazebo is a 10 x 10’ square, then make sure that the clear area is at least 14 x 14’ in area, or 196 sq. ft. The 10 x 10’ foundation area should be in the center point of this 196 sq. ft. space.
Do I need winter covers for my gazebo?
Winter covers help enclose your shelter to protect itself and the furniture inside. It comes with one door and two windows for convenience. Winter covers are optional and are designed for free standing hardtop gazebos only. You can order universal winter gazebo covers here: https://www.shelterlogic.com/patio-shade/gazebos/winter-covers
Please check the product description for product compatibility.
Do I need to clear snow from the roof of my gazebo, solarium, garage, or shed?
Yes, you should remove accumulated snow from the roof of your shed using a long handled, soft bristled broom.
When should I anchor my shed?
Do not anchor the shed until the unit has been completely assembled, and it is completely squared. A completed shed must be anchored to avoid any damages. The shed can be temporarily anchored if you are unable to complete assembly in one day or if heavy winds pick up during assembly. Usually, one bolt per corner would be fine as temporary anchoring.
Installation questions:
Do you offer installation services?
ShelterLogic Group has partnered with Assembly Help to provide assembly of selected products for customers in the United States. Once you add a product to the cart, you’ll be able to select the add professional installation option to your order. Visit https://www.shelterlogic.com/assembly for more information.
What kind of base do I need for a gazebo?
You will need to build a base of concrete, paver stones, or wood decking before you install a gazebo. Learn more about creating a base here: https://www.shelterlogic.com/knowledge/building-the-right-base-for-your-gazebo . If pavers can be easily lifted by hand, then a concrete pillar must be installed underneath them for safe anchoring.
How long would it take to install my product?
Installation for a Sojag product should be done 2-3 people in good weather and take around 6+ hours. You should not leave the product unattended for more than a day if you’re expecting bad weather.
How much weight can the ceiling hooks in my gazebo hold?
The hooks can hold up to 15 lbs.
Can I use a ceiling fan with my gazebo, solarium, or carport?
The installation of ceiling fans is not recommended. If you choose to install one (15 lb. or less) please re-tighten bolts once a season.
