Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Greenhouse This is a great greenhouse. We built a wooden frame, leveled the ground filled it with sand and put paving stones down for a floor. When we assembled the greenhouse we screwed the tubes to the wooden frame. The greenhouse has withstood winds of 40,50 mph with out a single problem. It has excellent cross ventilation and our plants have been protected from the cold down to the low teens with just a small heater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more veggies for the deer Great little greenhouse - easy to put up. looks nice in the yard and is pleasant to work in. Unless the deer learn to low crawl or unzip the door looks like we might get more peppers, tomatoes and herbs than they will for a change. Only thing that could make it better would be a zipper window on each side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Held up to WY winds I've had the 10x10x8 greenhouse in a bag for 3 seasons now with no problems. It's not uncommon to have 50+ mph winds here in Wyoming. This year the zipper ripped out on both sides of the door. Gonna reorder the cover as the frame is still in excellent condition. With the high winds I went out and bought better ground anchors cause I didn't have enough confidence the ones that came with would handle the winds here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Go bigger.... I bought this unit 6 years ago and it has stood up fairly well. Sloughed off a 14" snowfall with aplomb the first season.... ...but a few caveats. As with storage buildings, greenhouses - and maybe yachts - buy larger. Mine is used as a 'temporary' greenhouse and overflow from the regular greenhouse for plants that just need to be kept from freezing. Consider the height.... Secondly, I wish ShelterLogic offered replacements for single pieces. Though all parts/panels are labeled with individual part numbers, it is not possible to buy just one. The cost for full fabric replacement is almost equal to the full kit price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great way to get a greenhouse without spending a l I needed a way to protect my vegetable garden from cold temps and hail. I didn't have time to find and build a permanent greenhouse and didn't have a lot of money to spend. The Greenhouse in a Box was the answer. It's sturdy enough to be a permanent greenhouse (although I needed to use extra anchors because it's very windy where I live). The only issue I had was the instructions. I don't like pictures-only instructions. In several cases it took a long time to figure out what to do. In addition, the estimate of two people and two hours for assembly is way off. It took two pretty handy people about 6 hours to put it together. My plants are very happy now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice size I bought this to protect two Mexican lime bushes. Cold weather damages the bushes. I was able to put this greenhouse over the two bushes during the colder weather. It worked well and the bushes kept their leaves through winter. I was able to harvest limes into 2016.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy I am not happy with this product. Purchased it in October of 2015 and put up in November 2015. Used one year and 2 months. During the holidays noticed the seam at the top of the side wall was ripping. Had purchased a much larger product 22 years ago and it is still being used. Why doesn't the smaller ones last any longer than their warranty. This was the second one in 2 years and they tore in the same area.

After reading reviews, I'm concerned that each end panel does not reach flush with the ground once assembled on the 10'x20' heavy-duty greenhouse. Can you confirm this? I need a seal-able greenhouse.

Asked by: Alex thomas
Hi Alex, The end panels are designed to come very close/flush to the ground but do not sit directly on the ground to avoid wear to the bottom of the panel on windy days. Depending on assembly, you could have a 1-2" gap between the bottom of the panel and the ground. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. Thank you

How high do the sides role up on # 70590. Also what is the R-values and U-values for your poly? What is the quality difference between the heavy duty (70590) and the greenhouse-in-a-box?

Asked by: Alex thomas
Hi Alex, The side roll up approximately 8" on the sides. The heavy duty greenhouse (model 70590) comes with a 1 5/8th diameter frame while the greenhouse in a box is 1 3/8th in diameter. Thank you

I am wondering what the snow load would be for this greenhouse? I live in an area where we get heavy snowfalls.

Asked by: Northerngirl
Hello, There is no wind or snow load rating on this shelter. We do recommend removing any snow accumulation from the roof. Hello - what's the cost for a replacement cover (top, zippered end, back end) for model # 70658? We'vehad it up since last Sept 2015. At each of the rounded support bars (south facing) it has ripped. It appears UV is breaking down the plastic.

Asked by: PaulC
Hi Paul, We are sorry to hear that! The cost of the replacement is $219.99 plus shipping. If you have any additional questions or would like to order, please call us at 1800-932-9344. Thank you

How close is the bottom dimension to 10x10'. When I bought a kit built, 'permanent' greenhouse, it was advertised as 10x16' - and those were the dimensions of the foundation I built. 15'2" is NOT 16'....

Asked by: Rover72
Hello, The bottom dimension is approximately 10' x 10' from outside to outside pipe. However, we do recommend building the greenhouse prior to the foundation as there could be a slight variance. Thank you

Do you have any structures that can be used for plant storage during the winter?  Not for growing, simply to get plants out of the cold and frost.  And can be heated inside when needed.

Asked by: 374gatorgirl
Hi, we offer many types of greenhouses to extend your growing season. We don't recommend that you put a heat source inside our shelters. We want to help find you a solution to your shelter needs so please call us at 1-800-560-8383 to discuss further. Thank you for your question!
